On 19 September, a second meeting with representatives of Korea University in Seoul took place in the JU Collegium Novum. The meeting is a direct result of the Memorandum of Understanding signed last year in May, in which both universities declared their intent collaborate with each other.
The representative of Korea University, Vice-President for International Affairs Prof. Sunhyuk Kim, was greeted by JU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Prof. Armen Edigarian in his office. The Jagiellonian University was also represented by Prof. Ryszard Gurbiel, Vice-Dean for General Affairs (Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology), Prof. Grzegorz Michałek, Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs (Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science), and Adriana Hołub-Palonka from the International Relations Office.
Korea University will collaborate with four JU faculties: Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology, Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, Faculty of International and Political Studies, and Faculty of Chemistry. As with the agreement with Chongbuk National University, the collaboration will involve an exchange of two students for the period of one academic year (or four for the period of one semester).
