The paper "Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC)–Derived Extracellular Vesicles Are Safer and More Effective for Cardiac Repair Than iPSCs", written under the supervision of Prof. Ewa Zuba-Surma from the Department of Cell Biology at the JU Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology was recognised as one of five best articles published in 2018 in the prestigious cardiology journal Circulation Research.
The papers are assessed according to such criteria as novelty, the robustness and significance of the data, as well as the number of downloads by the journal’s readers. The honorary award was presented during the conference American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Chicago.
The paper was created in collaboration with the research team led by Prof. Buddhadeb Dawn from the Cardiovascular Research Institute, Kansas University Medical Center.
