During his visit at the APAIE conference, the JU Rector’s Proxy for Internationalisation Prof. Adam Jelonek signed cooperation agreements with representatives of Soka University in Japan, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, University of Malaya, and University of Indonesia.
The documents were signed during the APAIE Conference and Exhibition, which takes place from 25 to 29 March in Malaysia. The agreement with the East-Asian higher education institutions envisages the exchange of students, exchange of research materials, publications and information, joint conferences and academic programmes, joint degree programmes, joint research activities and publications as well as exchange of academic and non-academic staff members.
The APAIE Conference and Exhibition brings together international education policy-makers, practitioners and experts from across the globe to the Asia-Pacific region to network, improve professional skills and learn about new developments in international education. The APAIE Conference and Exhibition was launched in 2006 with 400 delegates. It now attracts 2,000 delegates and over 200 exhibitors. The growing attendance each year at the conference reflects the burgeoning interest in the region and recognition of the Asia-Pacific region’s important role in international education.
