On May 29 the Jagiellonian University signed the Student Exchange Agreement with the Beijing Union University (BUU) – a Chinese higher education institution administered by the municipal authorities of Beijing. The document was signed during a visit of the BUU delegation at the Jagiellonian University.
The Chinese delegation consisted of Prof. Zhou Zhicheng, Deputy Party Secretary (Vice Chairman of University Council), Prof. Zhao Hui, Director of Division of Student Affairs, Prof. Zhang Lingna, Deputy Party Secretary of Management College, Prof. Chu Tian, Vice Dean of College of Arts, and Ms. Liu Jing (Joanna), Program Officer of Division of International Exchange & Communication.
The visit started with a guided tour of the JU Museum Collegium Maius, which was followed by a meeting in JU Collegium Novum, where the delegation was received by Prof. Piotr Laidler from the JU Internationalisation Committe. The meeting participants also included Dean of JU Faculty of Philology Prof. Elżbieta Górska, the Vice-Dean of JU Faculty of Philology Prof. Władysław Witalisz, the Head of JU Institute of Oriental Studies Prof. Barbara Michalak-Pikulska, the Head of JU Institute of Political Science and International Relations Prof. Robert Kłosowicz and the Director of the Centre of Polish Language and Culture in the World Dr hab. Waldemar Martyniuk.
