Three students from the JU MC Institute of Public Health – Amanda Srsic, Semah Al-Awlaqui and Tara Chen – were unrivalled in the Poster Competition in Renes. Competing against several dozen other international students from various higher education institutions, they took first, second and third place. The winning posters were based on theses defended in Kraków three weeks earlier.
Already for 12 years, every July marks the completion of the last teaching module of Europubhealth – a two-year international Master’s programme in public health hosted at the French EHESP School of Public Health. JU MC Institute of Public Health, co-initiator and co-organiser of the programme, teaches students in the Governance of Health System in Transition.
In this year’s edition of the Poster Competition, Jagiellonian University students proved to be the best. Posters prepared by Amanda Srsic (USA), Sameha Al-Awlaqui (Yemen) and Tara Chen (Canada) on the basis of their Master’s theses took first three places. The theses were written under the supervision of Dr Katarzyna Dubas-Jakóbczyk, Dr Marzena Tambor, and Dr hab. Mariusz Duplaga, Prof. UJ.
