3rd Kraków Intellectual Property Law Summer School

On 17 September, the third edition of the Kraków Intellectual Property Law Summer School was organised by the JU Faculty of Law and Administration. This year's edition of the event will be dedicated to intellectual property overlaps and will last until 21 September.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, Prof. dr hab. Jerzy Pisuliński, has officially opened the Summer School and welcomed the participants and lecturers. The keynote speaker Irene Calboli, Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law, Academic Fellow at School of Law, University of Geneva, and Visiting Professor at Hanken School of Economics, has delivered a lecture Overlaps Between Trademarks/Copyright/Design with Comparative Perspectives.

The lecturers of the Kraków IP Law Summer School are recognised specialists in the area of intellectual property - both from foreign universities (Harry Radzyner Law School in Israel and ZHAW School of Management and Law in Switzerland) and Polish higher education institutions (Jagiellonian University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Polish Academy of Science, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Kraków University) - as well as experts from the World Intellectual Property Organization and European Patent Office, and practitioners from Bardehle Pagenberg, CD Projekt RED and Barta Kaliński Attorneys at Law.

The participants of the Summer School are law students and legal professionals – attorneys, advocates, academic staff, technology scouts etc., coming from almost 30 countries, from the EU member states, to Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, to Egypt and Turkey, to Japan and Thailand.

The partners and sponsors of the Summer School are the Polish Patent Office, Barta Kaliński Attorneys at Law, World Intellectual Property Organization and European Patent Office.
