On December 10, at the closing ceremony of the 2019 International Chinese Language Education Conference organised by the Office of Chinese Language Council International / Confucius Institute Headquarters Hanban, the JU Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak was presented with the honorary award for his services to the Centre for Chinese Language and Culture “Confucius Institute in Kraków”.
On December 10, at the closing ceremony of the 2019 International Chinese Language Education Conference organised by the Office of Chinese Language Council International / Confucius Institute Headquarters Hanban, the JU Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak was presented with the honorary award for his services to the Centre for Chinese Language and Culture “Confucius Institute in Kraków”.
The award was presented by the Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China Tian Xuejun. This year’s conference, attended by representatives of Confucius Institutes from all over the world, was held in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. Prof. Wojciech Nowak represented the Jagiellonian University at the programme council of Confucius Institutes and presented awards to representatives of other distinguished institutes.
Thanks to the efforts of the JU Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak, theree years ago the Jagiellonian University and Hanban signed an agreement on thorough renovation of the building at ul Oleandry 2a in Kraków, which now houses the JU Confucius Institute and the JU Institute of the Middle and Far East.
