Two months before the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year, Jagiellonian University authorities have announced their plans for teaching activities in the winter semester. Each Faculty will be able to independently decide on the specifics of organising classes for students. As for PhD candidates, all courses will be conducted on-line, with a few special exceptions.
The Jagiellonian University follows the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Health and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate. Due to the current epidemiological threat, JU authorities have decided that classes for students can be conducted in one of the following forms: on-site with online components, online with on-site components, and fully online.
As for doctoral students, nearly all classes at doctoral schools and other PhD programmes will be conducted online, with exceptions being made in the cases where it is not possible. PhD candidates will be able to arrange the specifics of their research projects with their supervisors.
In the event of a rise in the epidemiological threat levels, remote studying will be introduced across the University.
