On 10 July 2015, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Polish Studies and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Faculty of European Languages and Cultures.
The document was signed by the representatives of partner faculties: Prof. Renata Przybylska and Prof. Yang Ke. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Wojciech Nowak, JU Rector, and Dr hab. Piotr Horbatowski, Head of the Center for Polish Language and Culture in the World.
The aim of the agreement is to establish a framework of cooperation between the two universities, particularly in the area of student mobility. The agreement will allow Polish and Chinese students to learn a foreign language and become acquainted with the culture and academic life of both countries.
Prof. Wojciech Nowak declared his full support for Polish Studies in China as well as expanding the cooperation in other areas, such as research and staff mobility.
