The international conference will be held on September 25-26 in the Conference Centre of the Faculty of Medicine, JU Medical College.

The keynote speakers will include Bert Gordijn (Dublin City University), Jeanette Bresson, Ladegaard Knox (University of Copenhagen), Anna Kubiak (Polish Academy of Sciences), and Daniel Sperling (University of Haifa).

For safety reasons, the conference will be held on-line.

The conference will cover the following topics:

• palliative care in clinical practice
• ethical and legal aspects of patient autonomy
• psycho-oncology , anthropology , sociology of death and dying
• cultural and environmental studies into death and dying
