In this year’s edition of CHIST-ERA’s Call competition, focused on information communications technology, 10 research projects have received a combined funding of nearly 9 million euro. Two of those endeavours will be realised with the participation of Polish scientists.
The project ‘UNICO: Unsupervised spiking neural networks with analog memristive devices for edge computing’ will be carried out with the help of Dr Michał Markiewicz from the JU Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science by an international consortium comprising the University of Sherbrooke (Canada), CNRS/Aix Marseille University (France), C2N-CNRS IBM Zurich (Switzerland), and CEZAMAT PW sp. z o. o. (Poland).
The second of the aforementioned projects, ‘AIR: Analogue Intelligent chip for short and middle range Radar signal processing’, be realised with the participation of Prof. Krzysztof Ślot from the Lodz University of Technology.
