The programme ‘For Ukraine’ is addressed to researchers who were working at institutions conducting research in Ukraine when the Russian invasion began (on 24 February 2023) and scholars employed at institutions conducting research in Poland. This initiative allows researchers from Ukraine to establish collaboration with their Polish counterparts.
The application should indicate two scientists, one from Ukraine and one employed in Poland. It should be submitted on behalf of both researchers by the person working in Poland, jointly with the institution conducting research in Poland at which the project will be implemented (hosting institution).
The projects are supposed to deepen the knowledge on issues connected with the development of civil society, democracy, European integration and security. They must concern matters important to both countries.
The budget of one project for a 12-month period is PLN 268 800. It includes funds to cover salary as well as research-related costs. Three projects are to be chosen for funding within the framework of the current competition. The application must by submitted by 4 April 2023.
In total 6 grants were awarded during the previous two competitions within the framework of the programme.
