The Prof. Franciszek Ziejka Scholarship Fund

The Fund’s aim is to support international students and high school graduates who cannot continue education in their home countries – due to the political situation there – and want to enrol in a programme of study conducted in Polish at the Jagiellonian University.

University Hospital offers help to Ukrainians

The University Hospital in Kraków has established a special internal medicine and surgery unit and a special obstetrics unit for Ukrainian citizens who have a certificate issued by the Polish Border Guard or a stamp in a travel document confirming legal stay in Poland after crossing the Polish border on 24 February 2022 or later. The hospital also offers psychiatric and psychological assistance to war refugees.

Psychological support from the JU Institute of Psychology

The JU Institute of Psychology offers free psychological support to persons affected by the Russian invasion on Ukraine. The assistance will include a remote support centre for students and staff, meetings for students from Ukraine or Russia, and participation in campaigns aimed to help Ukrainian children.

Jagiellonian University Senate statement on the Russian military aggression on Ukraine

The Senate of the Jagiellonian University fully supports the statement of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, General Council of Science and Higher Education, Polish Academy of Sciences, conferences of vocational schools, and student organisations representing the Polish academic community on the Russian attack on Ukraine published on 24 February 2022.

Supplies for Ukraine can be delivered to the JU Faculty of International and Political Studies

Since the collection centre located at the Wisła Kraków stadium has temporarily suspended the reception of supplies for Ukraine, it will be possible to deliver packages to the JU Faculty of International and Political Studies at ul. Reymonta 4.

Legal help

JU Student Legal Clinic offers free legal help for our friends from Ukraine. Because of the war in Ukraine, assistance is provided to all that may need it, including all Ukrainians studying and living in Kraków and nearby.
