Prof. Kimmelman’s lecture: ‘Ethical and policy issues with individualized clinical trials’

Prof. Jonathan Kimmelman from the McGill University in Montreal will deliver the lecture entitled "Ethical and policy issues with individualized clinical trials" at the JU Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology.

Prof. Kimmelman is a world-class bioethicist. He obtained a PhD degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University. He was the Chair of the Ethics Committee of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), which in 2016 and 2021 issued guidelines on cell therapy, warning against its unjustified and excessive use, especially for commercial reasons.

Prof. Kimmelman has authored articles in such journals as Nature Medicine, Science, The Lancet, Stem Cell Reports, and eLife
