The international conference ‘Education and the Challenges of Modernity’ is a continuation of the series of conferences devoted to key aspects of education, organised under the common title ‘Dialogue, Cooperation, Professionalism’.
The effort related to the constant reflection on the conditions of successful teaching and learning process in schools and other educational institutions is and should be an inherent part of the educational system. Hence, the conference organisers do their best to systematically and persistently address the challenges of the modern world and invite everyone interested in joining these efforts to take part in the conference.
‘We believe that education has a huge potential for a positive change which will not be limited to another manipulation of parts of the system, but will also provide a chance for transforming the approach to education and rethinking the values and goals of the process, thus creating a consistent proposal for the education in the 21st century. At our disposal, we have potent tools with which we could revert the negative trends and design and implement solutions beneficial to all people. So let us think together on what the vital goals of educational institutions are, how he contribute or might contribute to achieving these goals and how we can best prepare ourselves to adequately transform our everyday practices, theoretical approaches, assumptions and objectives’, stated the organisers.
