Shaping the future of European universities

On 19-21 June 2024 the University of Zurich is hosting the Una Europa General Assembly – a three-day event attended by over 250 participants representing Una Europa partner universities, including the Jagiellonian University. The central topic of the meeting is ‘One Earth, One Future’.

The JU delegation consists of Prof. Stanisław Kistryn, Prof. Bartosz Brożek, and members of the  Una Europa team at the Jagiellonian University.

The University of Zurich organises a series of meetings for the participants, which provide an opportunity to sum up the achievements of Una Europa, discuss the ways of strengthening cooperation between its partner institutions and prospective steps action to be undertaken as part of the Una.Futura project.

This year’s event focuses on the idea of One Health, based on a holistic approach to the health of human beings, animals and the environment. One of the key parts of the programme is the discussion panel Una Europa Talk ‘Building Resilience Through One Health’, taking place on June 20, and available via livestream. It will feature experts from the relevant fields, who will discuss actions needed to successfully face pandemics and global health challenges from the One Health perspective.

The Una Europa General Assembly in Zurich provides a perfect opportunity to strengthen cooperation beteen European universities. The commitment of the Jagiellonian University and other partners can make Una Europa one of key players in the area of solving global challenges by interdisciplinary approach and open exchange of knowledge and experience.
