Graduation Day at the School of Medicine in English

Graduation Day at the School of Medicine in English

May 16 saw the graduation ceremony for 34 alumni of the MD programme of the School of Medicine in English at the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College.

The fresh graduates, who come from the USA, Canada and Lebanon, were presented with diplomas and swore the Hippocratic Oath.

The ceremony was led by the Jagiellonian University Vice-Rector for the Medical College, Prof. Piotr Laidler. Besides receiving their diplomas, the graduates themselves awarded special certificates to the academics who, in their opinion, were the best lecturers at the clinical and pre-clinical courses. The awarded staff members were: Prof. Ralph Józefowicz (neurology), Dr Wiesława Klimek-Piotrowska (anatomy), Dr Marcin Sobociński (internal medicine), and Dr Piotr Kruczek (neonatology). The Department of Neonatal Pathology and Intensive Care at the University Children's Hospital was recognised as the best clinical ward, whereas Neurology and Oncology were chosen the best clinical courses at JU MC.
