On 26 January 2015, Prof. Wojciech Nowak, JU Rector, was visited by the winner of the Interstudent 2014 contest, Ghanshyambhai Khatri, who was recognised as the best foreign PhD student in Poland.

The young doctoral student's scientific supervisor is Prof. Stanisław Kistryn, JU Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds. During the meeting, Ghanshyambhai Khatri talked about his research and plans for the future. At the end of the visit, he received a diploma and a commemorative album about the University's history.

Ghanshyambhai Khatri comes from India. He received the award on 22 January 2015 during the Foreign students in Poland 2015 conference in Lublin.
