JU and IBM sign a letter of intent

The document was signed on 9 January 2017 by the Jagiellonian University Vice-Rector for University Development Prof. Dorota Malec and the Poland Software Lab Executive at IBM Sławomir Kumka.

The letter was signed in the presence of JU Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds Prof. Stanisław Kistryn, the Dean of JU Faculty of Philosophy Prof. Jarosław Górniak and Dr Marcin Stolarski, the IBM manager responsible for cooperation with higher education institutions.

The letter of intent sets the framework for prospective cooperation in the area of mutual exchange of knowledge and experience in technology sector, as well as collaborative use of laboratory infrastructure.

It should be stressed that the Jagiellonian University units have already been cooperating with the IBM for some time. The letter of intent envisages broader cooperation, which is to be regulated by separate agreements.
