Students from Denmark attend lectures at the JU MC Institute of Public Health

A group of 19 students from the University of Copenhagen take part in a series of lectures and workshops run by staff members of the JU Institute of Public Health at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. Their visit is part of cooperation between both institutions, which started four years ago.

During their five-week stay in Poland the young people, who come from different countries, will study selected aspects of Polish health care system. As their primary focus will be on the organisation and functioning of various institutions in this area, they will meet representatives of the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Public Health – National Institute of Hygiene, the Agency of Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System, and the Central Institute of Labour Protection.

The lectures and workshops in Kraków will be run by staff of the Institute of Public Health of the JU MC Faculty of Medicine.

Last week, the Institute of Public Health hosted a welcome ceremony for the visiting students. The participants in the meeting included Prof. Beata Tobiasz-Adamczyk, JU Rector’s Proxy for Education and International Cooperation at the Medical College and Dr hab. Christoph Sowada, Head of the JU Institute of Public Health.
