The Jagiellonian University Medical College is the only higher education institution from outside the US to have been invited to collaborate in Cleveland Clinic’s project ‘Global Health Education’. The cooperation was initiated by Dr hab. Tomasz Rogula, Prof. UJ, a long-standing employee and professor at both Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University.
Within the framework of the project, the Jagiellonian University will contribute to teaching medical disciplines. This will allow JU MC students to participate in live video-conferences during which they will present interesting and rare medical cases to their American colleagues as well as take part in classes with future American medical professionals. The resulting collaboration will not only allow for an exchange of knowledge and experience, but also facilitate establishing contacts between students from both countries.
JU MC cooperation with Cleveland Clinic, a leading world-class health care centre famous for innovativeness and high quality of service, will assure the highest standards of education at the Kraków university.
Earlier this year in February, the I Chair in General Surgery of the Jagiellonian University Medical College began its collaboration with Cleveland Clinic within the framework of an international project ‘Innovations in Surgery’, together with the best American surgery clinics: Mayo Clinic, Harvard University, John Hopkins University, Columbia University, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
