On 19 June 2015, the closing ceremony of the Foreign Law Schools – American Law Program, École de droit français, Ukrainian Law School, Schule des österreichischen Rechts – and the Master en Droit Privé programme took place in the Collegium Novum Assembly Hall. The Schools operate within the framework of the Coordination Center for Foreign Law Schools at the Faculty of Law and Administration.
The guests and students were welcomed by Prof. Andrzej Mania, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, and Prof. Jerzy Pisuliński, Faculty of Law and Administration Vice-Dean for International Cooperation. The ceremony was attended by representatives of partner universities: Prof. Rett Ludwikowski from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law, Prof. Jacques Leroy from the University of Orleans, Prof. Walter Rechberger from the University of Vienna, and Dr Roksolana Lemyk and Oleksandr Marin from the Ivan Franko Lviv State University. A lecture, entitled Perspective on new lawyers entering the profession in current times, was delivered by Ronald Given.
The Coordination Center for Foreign Law Schools ("OKSPO") is a research and didactic unit within the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University that was established in the year 2000 on the initiative of Professor Fryderyk Zoll. The purpose of OKSPO is to broaden the knowledge of the foreign laws in Poland and provide the Polish students with education in this respect with the view of their future professional needs resulting from the international cooperation.
