Modern operating rooms, a closed-off drive for ambulances, a spacious waiting room for patients and doctors' rooms make up the new admissions unit in the University Children's Hospital in Kraków at ul. Wielicka. The first patients were admitted in early August.
As the facility meets all the necessary requirements, it will officially become an Emergency Department after signing a new contract with the National Healthcare Fund. Cars can access the building from ul. Jakubowskiego (see the map). The car park for persons with children in urgent need of medical care is located next to the new admissions unit.
The 16-year-old Ola Chynek has been the first patient to be treated at the new admissions unit. She received a special gift from the hospital.
The Children's University Hospital in Kraków is an important medical, educational and research centre, collaborating with the JU Medical College Institute of Peadiatrics.
