Professor Wojciech Nowak becomes the president of the European Society of Surgery

During the 14th annual Conference of the European Society of Surgery in Turin the JU Vice-Rector, Prof. Wojciech Nowak, was elected the president of the Society for the next year. The Society is the greatest and the most prestigious organization attracting surgeons from the whole Europe.

Mr Michał Kusiak, a student of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Science has discovered one of sungrazing comets. The discovery received coverage in the Polish and foreign media.

JU Urologisists awarded top prizes at the 10th Central European Meeting of Urologists

The team of urologists from the Chair in Urology and Urology Clinic was led by Prof. Zygmunt Dobrowolski. Their work was related to the significance of magnetic resonance and proton spectroscopy in early diagnostics of prostate cancer.
