The Centre for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków has opened a new BA in European Studies Programme with the specialisation in Global Politics and Society in a Global Perspective.
The six-semester-long interdisciplinary programme was designed using the Centre's best assets to equip students with a core knowledge of European politics, culture and society, whilst emphasising Europe’s role in a wider global framework.
Programme participants will attend lectures and seminars conducted by prominent academics and practitioners, learn a foreign language, and get intensive training in academic English.
The students will have the opportunity to take part in exchange programmes which will allow them to spend a semester or a year at partner universities in other European countries.
The programme will offer a possibility to conduct an internship and gain practical experience, as well as to participate in study trips, which will allow students to apply their academic knowledge in a local context. CES Student Services will provide guidance in career planning and day-to-day support in practical matters.
Working in diverse, multinational groups, students will gain knowledge and experience from their teachers and peers in a friendly environment, and will become part of the dynamic academic community of one of the oldest European universities. Kraków, considered to be the cultural capital of Poland, is home to a number of institutions and organisations. Thus, apart from the unique experience of living and studying in the picturesque and vibrant city, students will be able to participate in a range of extracurricular activities, in academia and beyond.
