On 17 February 2017 the JU Vice-Rector for the Medical College signed a new agreement between the University of Edinburgh and the Jagiellonian University Medical College.
The document envisages mutual collaboration in the area of teaching and research as well as post-diploma student exchange within the framework of scholarships offered by the Polish School of Medicine Memorial Fund Scholarship Programme. It was signed in Edinburgh by the JU Vice-Rector for the Medical College Prof. Tomasz Grodzicki and Prof. John Savilla, Head of the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, Chairman of the Polish School of Medicine Memorial Fund Committee.
The meeting was also attended by Dr Maria Długołęcka-Graham, coordinator of the Polish School of Medicine for the University of Edinburgh and Prof. Beata Tobiasz-Adamczyk, JU Rector’s Proxy for Education and International Cooperation at the Medical College.
During his visit in Edinburgh, Prof. Grodzicki also met with Prof. Jeremy Bradshaw, Prof. James Garden and Prof. Helen Cameron – scholars involved in the cooperation between the Jagiellonian University and the University of Edinburgh.
