JU MC graduate enters Jules Allemand Trophy finals

On 12 July 2023, the JU Institute of Dentistry hosted the national finals of the international restorative dentistry contest Jules Allemand Trophy. The winner was Agnieszka Słania, a graduate of the Dental Medicine programme at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. She will now represent Poland during the international finals, which will take place in September in D’Annunzio University of Chieti in Italy.

Agnieszka Słania prepared for the contest under the supervision of Dr Teresa Szupiany-Janeczek from the JU MC Chair in Integrated Dentistry, headed by Prof. Jolanta Pytko-Polończyk and Małgorzata Zając, who won the last year’s national stage of the competition.

Jules Allemand Trophy, organised since 2004, is the only contest in restorative dentistry addressed to students from all over the world. The main prize is a two-month internship at the Oral Science, Restorative Dentistry Section at the D’Annunzio University of Chieti, Italy. The contest consists of three stages, during which the participants first compete at the university and national level and then during international finals.
