The annual Congress of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML) will be held on July 14-19 at the Jagiellonian University.
The annual Congress of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML) will be held on July 14-19 at the Jagiellonian University.
The Congress organisers expect up to 350 music librarians, archivists, musicologists and many other cultural professionals from more than 30 countries worldwide to attend. The programme features presentations, workshops, poster sessions and discussions concerning digital tools for music libraries, historical sources, as well as customer services in public library music collections, and many other services music librarians provide in all types of institutions. The congress will be accompanied by the exhibition of the Jagiellonian Library musical collections as well as concerts held in the most beautiful historic churches of Krakow. The organisers hope that the Congress will be a great opportunity to familiarise the visitors with the Polish musical culture.
This will also be opportunity for publishers, book, music, software, technology and library product distributors, database providers, library service providers, and others to present their products and services to the larger audience of professionals from all kinds of music institutions around the world.
