JU astronomers unravel the mysteries of an interstellar asteroid

‘Oumuamua is the first astronomical object known to science to have entered the Solar System from the interstellar space, having been ejected from its original planetary system. Using the giant Gemini North telescope in Hawaii, a team of scientists led by astronomers from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków conducted an in-depth study of the body. The results have just appeared in the latest issue of 'Nature Astronomy'.

JU MC researcher joins the European Board of Paediatric Urology

Prof. Rafał Chrzan from the Jagiellonian University Medical College was nominated as a member of the European Board of Paediatric Urology, which is part of the European Union of Medical Specialists. The body consists of distinguished paediatric surgeons and urologists. Prof. Chrzan will also serve as the EBPU secretary.
