Water is the main component of our organism. Without it, it’s impossible for us to function properly. What beverages are the most beneficial for our bodies, and how much of them should we drink per day? We asked Prof. Małgorzata Zwolińska-Wcisło, Dr Magdalena Przybylska-Feluś, and Agnieszka Dąbek Department of Clinical Nutrition of the JU MC Faculty of Medicine to give us some advice on these issues.

UNA Europa secretary general visits the JU

On 26 August, the Jagiellonian University was visited by Emily Palmer, secretary general of UNA Europa, a newly created university network bringing together seven leading European Universities, co-founded by the JU. The secretary general was received in JU Collegium Maius by JU Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds Prof. Stanisław Kistryn and JU Faculty of Law and Administration Dean for International Affairs Prof. Bartosz Brożek, coordinator of UNA Europa activities at the Jagiellonian University.

24 August marked the beginning of the 4th edition of the Energy Community Summer School – an annual meeting devoted to broadly understood energy market, for the first time organised by the Energy Community in one of the EU members states. In this year’s edition of CHIST-ERA’s Call competition, focused on information communications technology, 10 research projects have received a combined funding of nearly 9 million euro. Two of those endeavours will be realised with the participation of Polish scientists.
