On 3–5 July 2015, the JU Collegium Novodvorscianum hosted the 5th edition of the Paul Ehrlich MedChem Euro-PhD Network, the aim of which is to promote knowledge about medical chemistry.
The network comprises 41 European universities, and its activities involve student and staff mobility as well as collaboration in research and education in the area of pharmaceutical chemistry.
This year's edition was organised by Prof. Katarzyna Kieć-Kononowicz, head of the Faculty of Pharmacy Chair in Medicinal Product Technology and Biology and Polish coordinator of the network. Prof. Maciej Małecki, Rector's Proxy for Research and Development at the Medical College, and Dr hab. Jacek Sapa, prof. UJ, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, presided over the official opening of the meeting.
