A group of scientists from the Max Planck Research Group at the Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology (MCB) of the Jagiellonian University in collaboration with the University of Queensland from Brisbane, Australia has shed light on the genetic and molecular cause of severe neurological diseases in humans. “The Jagiellonian University Day is a special day. A project led by Dr hab. Dariusz Dziga, Prof. UJ from the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology has received funding within the framework of the DAINA 2 call organised jointly by the Polish National Research Centre and the Research Council of Lithuania. The launching of the Una Europa Prize Competition was announced during the first Una Europa Student Congress in February 2021. The contest is aimed at encouraging students to present their vision of a university of the future. The participants were asked to prepare a short video about the vision and values of Una Europa. The Jagiellonian University student Lara Maria Guedes Gonçalves Costa was chosen one of the best international students in Poland in the Interstudent 2021 contest. The winners of the competition were announced during the online gala accompanying the international conference “International Students in Poland”.
