In response to the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on the night of 13/14 November, the Rector of the Jagiellonian University issued the following statement.
Dear Friends, Colleagues and Students,
in the light of the tragic events that occurred in Paris on the night of 13/14 November 2015, which consumed 128 innocent lives and left hundreds of people injured, with 99 of them in critical condition, on behalf of the academic community of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the French nation.
Today, we are all Parisians. Today, our hearts and minds go out to the grieving families and loved ones of the victims. Today, we offer our solidarity, comfort and compassion.
In the face of this terrible loss, we unite in pain with the French people.
