On 30 May 2016 the Jagiellonian University hosted a visit by a delegation from Indiana University (IU), aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the two institutions.
The delegation included the IU President Prof. Michael Mc. Robbie, the Vice-President for International Affairs Prof. David Zaret and the Dean of the School of Global and International Studies Lee Feinstein.
The IU representatives were received by members of JU authorities: Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak and Vice-Rectors Prof. Andrzej Mania and Prof. Stanisław Kistryn. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Bartosz Brożek, the newly elected Vice-Dean of the JU Faculty of Law and Administration and Dorota Maciejowska, the Head of JU International Relations Office.
The representatives of both institutions signed the renewed Agreement for Friendship and Cooperation, which opens opportunities for staff and student exchange, the sharing of academic materials and development of joint research projects. The prospects of JU's collaboration with Indiana University include joint cross disciplinary research efforts within the framework of the IU Grand Challenges Research Initiative as well as the opportunities provided by the recently established IU Europe Gateway Office in Berlin.
After renewing the agreement, the Indiana University delegation took a short tour of the premises of Collegium Novum, conducted by Prof, Andrzej Mania, and then paid a visit to the Jagiellonian University Museum Collegium Maius.
30 maja 2016 r. Uniwersytet Jagielloński odwiedziła delegacja z Indiana University (IU). Wizyta miała na celu zacieśnienie wzajemnej współpracy, która ma miejsce od kilkunastu lat.
