‘Internationalization Network’ – project summary

‘Internationalization Network’ – project summary

On 12–14 December 2016, an international conference entitled ‘Tools and Methodologies to Boost Internationalization at HEIs’ was held at Yerevan State University as a summary of the ‘Internationalization Network’ project. The Jagiellonian University was represented by scholars from the Faculty of International and Political Studies.

The project was realised within the framework of a grant funded by the International Visegrad Fund. Its aim was to help the development of international cooperation between the countries of the Eastern Partnership and the European Union by exchanging experiences, setting up a platform for future international projects, extensive collaboration, shared training, and joint research.

The project featured a series of workshops and trainings conducted at the member universities. The meetings arranged at the JU, focused on good practices and effective internationalisation, were organised with the help of the JU Centre for Project Administrative Support.

The project’s coordinating institution is Yerevan State University, while its members include the Eastern Partnership states (Armenia, Belarus, Hungary, Slovakia) and the Visegrad Group states (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia). At the Jagiellonian University, the project’s coordinator is Dr Piotr Bajor from the Faculty of International and Political Studies.

In the future, new partner institutions will be able to join the consortium. This will lead to expansion of regional cooperation, increase the internationalisation of member institutions, reinforce the importance of academic mobility and facilitate the organisation of new projects in the future.
