On 12 September, the Jagiellonian University was visited by a delegation from the China Economic and Social Council (CESC). The aim of the visit was to discuss the cooperation between both institutions.
The CESC delegation of prominent members was headed by Chairman Du Qinglin. The CESC was established in 2001, with the support of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the People’s Republic of China.Our University was represented by Prof. Stanisław Kistyn, Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds, Prof. Piotr Laidler from the Internationalisation Committee, Dr. Małgorzata Osińska and Han Xinzhong, Directors of the Confucius Institute in Kraków, Prof. Łukasz Gacek, Head of Department of China and Prof. Ewa Trojnar from the of the Institute of the Middle and Far East.
