The goal of the meeting held on 11 May 2015 was to share the knowledge and experience of Kraków institutions of higher education in running research projects funded by the EU with rectors and deans of six Croatian universities.
The guests were welcomed by the Rector of AGH University of Science and Technology Prof. Tadeusz Słomka, whereas the conference was led by Prof. Tomasz Szmuc, the AGH Vice-Rector for Cooperation. The guests included rectors, vice-rectors and deans of: the J. Dobrile University of Pula, University of Zagreb, University of Split, J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, University of Zadar, and Croatian Catholic University, Zagreb.
The conference also featured the Ambassador of Croatia to Poland Ms Andrea Bekić and the Honorary Consul of Croatia to Kraków Mr Paweł Włodarczyk.
The Jagiellonian University was represented by the Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds Prof. Stanisław Kistryn, who has presented the experiences and achievements of the JU in the area of running EU projects, whereas Krystian Gurba, the deputy director of JU Centre for Innovation, Technology Transfer and University Development discussed the JU experiences in collaboration with businesses and its achievements in research commercialisation.
The Conference was hosted by the AGH University of Science and Technology and co-organised by the Jagiellonian University and the Kraków University of Economics.
