On 27 March 2017 the Jagiellonian University hosted a visit by the Ambassador of Portugal to Poland João Manuel da Cruz da Silva Leitão.

European distinction for the University Hospital in Kraków

Following an independent audit, the healthcare institution was recognised as a key partner of the European Reference Network (ERN) in the field of neurological and metabolic diseases treatment. Besides, the Clinical Department of Allergy and Immunology of the University Hospital obtained the associate partner status in the network "Rare-complex autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases".

A multimillion Euro construction project at JU Medical College

A building located at ul. Medyczna 7 in Kraków will be converted into a modern educational complex with medical simulation rooms and a state-of-the-art library. The facility will become part of the Innovative Medical Education Centre of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. The construction is planned to be completed in the second half of 2018.

JU and Samsung to collaborate on innovative projects

The Jagiellonian University and Samsung Electronics Polska have signed an agreement to conduct joint research, development and teaching initiatives. The agreement was signed on 14 March in Collegium Novum Senate Room by Prof. Dorota Malec, JU Vice-Rector for University Development, and Youngmin Lee, President of Samsung Electronics R&D Europe.

How to deal with his or her negative emotions and sometimes even aggression? Medicine students from the Jagiellonian University Medical College will have to find answers to all these questions during classes with simulated patients. In that way, the future physicians will improve the communication skills which are crucial in their work.
