On 15 May, the Jagiellonian University was visited by a delegation form Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. During the meeting, a Letter of Intent was signed by the JU Rector’s Proxy for Internationalisation Prof. Adam Jelonek.
Aside from Prof. Adam Jelonek, the Jagiellonian University was represented by the Dean of Faculty of Polish Studies Prof. Renata Przybylska, Director of the Centre for Polish Language and Culture in the World Dr hab. Waldemar Martyniuk, Faculty of Philology Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs Dr hab. Władysław Witalisz, and Dr hab. Michał Dardziński from the Faculty of Geography and Geology. The delegation from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania consisted of Dr Julie Vandivere (Director of Honors College) and Dr Mykola Polyuha (Coordinator of Russian and East European Studies Programme). American students participating in this year's courses at the Centre for Polish Language and Culture in the World also attended the meeting.
The Letter of Intent proposes exchange of students, exchange of research materials, publications and information, joint conferences and academic programmes, joint degree programmes, joint research activities and publications as well as exchange of academic and non-academic staff members.
