Chinese Studies – a new speciality at the JU Institute of Oriental Studies

The students who enrol on the new three-year course will learn spoken and written Chinese language to a level that will enable them to engage in effective verbal and intercultural communication. Besides, the students will gain insight into the Chinese-speaking culture by learning the cognitive and perceptive mechanisms of the society and the individual that stem from the specific features of the Chinese writing and lexicon, as well as the tradition reflected in the language
